I was beautiful and I had eyes and hips that could make men sway, and to top it all up, I was a Christian, a very good Christian with a heart burning for God. When I entered the university, I met a guy, his name was Derrick. I couldn’t believe my luck the first time I bumped into him on my way to class, he had such a kind smile and a tender look that weakened my knees when he spoke. Because I was late for class we couldn’t talk much but barely three weeks later, I met him at the fresher’s night party and I was overwhelmed. We got talking and I found out that he was in his second year and from that night, we became an inseparable pair. At first, we were friends and as months passed by, we got closer and closer and the chemistry between us was undeniable. About a year after I entered the university, Derrick and I started dating. He was everything a girl could ever want and desire save the fact that he wasn’t so much of a Christian. Derrick had magical hands that made him hard to resist and most times I fell for it. At first, I felt bad but when I couldn’t help falling into the same pit I killed the guilt on my inside. And then one day, one of my friends said I was getting fatter and that got me thinking and in the process I began to link the dots…first I had a vomiting spree every morning which I thought was due to a flu and then I had this morning sickness which I felt was due to stress and then my missing period…oh no it can’t be possible I said to myself, I couldn’t be pregnant!!! After a series of test outside school, I realized the deadliest truth, I was indeed pregnant. I was only nineteen, I still had a whole life ahead of me, what was I going to do. I couldn’t tell my parents, they wouldn’t hear of it. I had to go to Derrick to tell him what I had found out. On telling him, I saw him fly into a temper I had never seen in my life. He was so hysterical, calling me all sorts of names and I didn’t even know when I started crying heart drenching tears of hurt and betrayal. When he looked into my eyes he must have realized how scared and hurt I was and so he pulled me close and ran his hands through my hair until I had calmed down and then he said tome in the most subtle voice ever ”why don’t you have an abortion”.I pulled back instantly, I couldn’t have an abortion! But when he talked about my parents and the sanctioning of the school and the fellowship which I belonged to, I knew I had no other choice. Derrick had made all the arrangements and so on the supposed day we went to the room- like clinic. I shivered all through my way there but Derrick kept telling me that it would be okay and that he was proud that I made such a brave decision. When I entered into the room where the abortion was supposed to take place I laid down on the table trying to dissociate my mind from what I was about to do and then a young man told me sternly, ” you know I can’t perform this procedure with your underwear on” and then I began to pull it off. As I did this a sense of guilt overwhelmed me, first I had pulled off my underwear of pleasure and now I was pulling it off to get rid of the stigma the pleasure had brought…what a shame, I felt so exposed. All through the times that I felt instruments coming in and out of me, I kept thinking of the lady I had become and the hypocrite I had transformed into. I let out a sigh, only if I can get through this I muttered… only if…and then I felt a sharp pain pierce through the whole of my body, I screamed but then the doctor told me to be quiet. I felt another pain but this time I bit my lip and then the pain began to come in successions. I instinctively knew that something was wrong but I was too weak to talk or to move and then I heard the voices of Derrick and the doctor talking about the fact that I was bleeding excessively. The pain was so unbearable and I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker. With the last strength in me, I pleaded with God ”Oh Lord I’m so sorry for taking my under wears off, please forgive me.” and I drifted into a world where the pain seemed less hurtful and the voices seemed more distant. ROM 12:1, Friends, our bodies are the temple of the Lord… Do not take off your underwear when the time is not right. Lots of girls who gained admission into the university as virgins eventually lost it so cheaply to guys who have nothing to do with their destinies. In a bid to get a certificate, they sold out a destiny that certificate cannot guarantee. Sex before marriage is a sin and let us learn to hate what God hates. l have walked the road and l am warning you not to take that path but to follow the Lord Jesus..........AMEN

Mrs. Ladipo added that she has informed HonAbike Dabiri and Funmi Ikeji, a woman activist about the issue and would make further legal actions against the actor, it took the intervention of concernced persons to settle the matter. The new Allegations is by Bola Animashun and according to her she met Yemi 2 years ago on facebook and they started talking and before they knew what was happening, they had exchanged Bbpins. ‘You must get a degree’ – Davido’s father insists

They say the biggest legacy a parent can leave for his-her children is education. Every parent no matter the circumstances strives hard to live up to that statement and so is Nigerian billionaire businessman Deji Adeleke who seems hell bent on seeing one of his sons David ‘Davido’ Adeleke attending and graduating from University like every other child. The last two years have been a handful for Davido – he didn’t just make a very successful debut in the Nigerian music scene but accelerated to the A-list spot, something that has taken other A-listers years to achieve. He’s released a debut album with chart topping singles, won international awards and performed in and out of the country, what else could he ask for? Facebook to deactivate 'tribute' pages

Hartford - Facebook has agreed to remove some so-called tribute pages related to last year's Connecticut school shooting over concerns they're being used to exploit the tragedy, US Senator Richard Blumenthal said on Monday. Blumenthal and other lawmakers from the state requested the removal of offending pages in a letter to Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg on Monday. The lawmakers said some pages purportedly set up to honour the victims of the 14 December shooting have been used to exploit or harass the victims' families and could be used as vehicles for financial fraud. The lawmakers also said the pages also appear to violate Facebook's terms of use, which prohibit users from creating accounts for anyone other than themselves. In the letter, the lawmakers said they know of more than 100 pages dedicated just one of the victims, teacher Victoria Soto. Some contain postings from conspiracy theorists who claim the shootings were staged and that Soto and others were actors. "Certainly there have been many, too many, of these pages that are intimidating or harassing or exploitive," Blumenthal said. "I'm pleased that Facebook has responded positively." The lawmakers said Facebook also had received complaints from Soto's family and the family of Kaitlin Roig, a teacher who survived and has been credited with saving the lives of her students by locking the class in a small bathroom and barricading the door. A Facebook page titled "Kaitlin Roig is a Hero" prompted some abusive posts, such as one that reads, "Congratulations Kaitlin or whatever your name is. Now you're famous and got to meet the 'President’. You ought to be ashamed of yourself." That post was still on the page on Monday afternoon. Blumenthal said his office received a phone call on Monday from Facebook officials saying they had begun removing the pages immediately. Responding to concerns Jodi Seth, a Facebook spokesperson, said in a statement that the company has been working closely since December with officials, the families and their representatives to respond quickly to concerns with dedicated staff handling complaints over Sandy Hook pages. Seth said Facebook wants to respond quickly "while also recognising that people across the country want to express grief for a terrible national tragedy." "We will continue to be vigilant," Seth said in a statement. Blumenthal said they are not asking that all tribute or donation pages be removed, just the ones that are not authorised by the families. One fraud arrest already has been connected to a Facebook posting on the shooting Nouel Alba, a 37-year-old New York City woman, is accused of using her Facebook account, telephone calls and text messages to seek donations for what she called a "funeral fund”.  She allegedly told one donor that she had to enter the scene of the mass shooting to identify her nephew, according to the criminal complaint.

"That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake. But she loves me - what can I say? I'm forgiven... but, yes, I worked hard for it." 'I've grown up' The Don't Wake Me Up singer insists he's a changed person since the attack happened as he's now realised what's important in life. The support from those who do know me and the fans, who are incredible, got me through." He also knows some people will never forgive him but he tries not to let that bother him. "People attack me and criticise me, it happens all the time. But they don't know me, and they don't know us. It doesn't bother me anymore. Other people can judge us but they don't know anything.

Judge allows Jackson lawsuit to continue

Los Angeles - A Los Angeles judge has said she is inclined to allow a lawsuit by Michael Jackson's mother against a concert promoter, who she claims is responsible for her son's death, to go to trial on a single claim. Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos issued a tentative ruling Monday stating that a jury should decide whether concert giant AEG negligently hired the doctor convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the singer's 2009 death. Palazuelos' tentative decision calls for the dismissal of other claims that could hold AEG liable for Jackson's death. It is unclear when the ruling will become finalized and it could change. AEG had sought a complete dismissal of the case, arguing that former cardiologist Conrad Murray wasn't an AEG employee, but was acting as Jackson's personal physician.

JTF kill 4 suspected Boko Haram members

Maiduguri - The Joint Task Force (JTF) on Operation Restore Order (ORO) has confirmed the death of four suspected Boko Haram members after a gun duel at Kasuwan Kaji in Maiduguri. The JTF spokesman, Lt.-Col. Sagir Musa who stated this in a statement in Maiduguri on Tuesday, said the suspects comprised a top commander of the group and his three lieutenants. He said the quartet was believed to have moved into Maiduguri from Kano to wreak havoc before they were uncovered. "Following a tip-off, a cordon-and-search operation was conducted on Monday at Kasuwan Kaji area in Maiduguri. "The operation was targeted at arresting a suspected top Boko Haram terrorist commander and his group believedto have sneaked in from Kano to wreak havoc," the spokesman said. Musa said the group was believed to have carried out recent attacks on JTF patrol vehicles in different parts of Maiduguri. "It is believed that the group was responsible for the recent series of Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) attacks on JTF patrol vehicles and locations," he said. Musa pointed out that the JTF had attempted to arrest the suspects at their hideout before an exchange of fire. "The commander and his three men lost their lives in an exchange of fire, while three other suspects were arrested. They are in our custody undergoing interrogation," he said. Musa said the JTF recovered three AK 47 rifles, two dane guns, three magazines and 36 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition from the hideout, among other items.

APC 'poses no threat' to PDP in 2015 polls

Umuahia - The PDP chairman in Abia, Sen. Emma Nwaka, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) would pose no threat to his party in the 2015 general elections in the state. Nwaka said this in Umuahia on Tuesday during the inauguration of a caretaker committee for the Igbere Wards A and B in Bende Local Government Area of the state. "You have all heard about APC and about their ganging up but, as the Bible says, their ganging up will be in vain because they have nothing better to offer us," he said. The party chairman said the constitution of the caretaker committee became necessary because "nature abhors a vacuum", saying the action had the nod of the party’s national secretariat. He explained that the PDP-led administration of Gov. Theodore Orji had been exceptional in its efforts to transform the state. According to him, the governor’s achievements ``surpassed the achievements of the previous administrations in the state from 1999 to 2011. The evidence is there to prove. "Before 2011, if you say you are from Abia, people looked at you with disdain. But today, Abians are respected all over the nation." Nwaka charged the 22-member caretaker committee, comprising 11 members for each of the wards, "to abide religiously by the oath of office you have taken and do not be a sell-out". He informed the members that their activities would be monitored and advised them not to hesitate to resign from the party anytime they deemed it fit. "I can assure you that the party will not frown at such a decision," the party chairman said. He explained that the decision to hold the inauguration followed reports that some disgruntled persons planned to disrupt the event at Igbere. Nwaka said the party was not using military men to chase the former ward officials, as being speculated by some, saying that the allegation was part of the design to discredit the party. He said the former officers resigned their positions and membership of the party on Jan. 10, adding that they had returned all the party’s property in their possession. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the former executive officers of the two Igbere wards had angered the party’s top hierarchy, leading to their being removed. This was after they allegedly issued a new membership card to former Gov. Orji Kalu. Other speakers at the event, including the former Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, Prof. Sam Igwe, admonished the party faithful to be bold and courageous. Igwe said, as members of the ruling party, they had no reason to fear. He said the state chapter of the party would resist any action that would destabilise the present state of "unity, peace, rapport and harmony in the party". In his speech, Chief Princewill Onyegbu, the Deputy Leader, Abia House of Assembly, cautioned party members from Bende against attending political meetings not convened by the party. The chairman of Igbere Ward A chairman, Chief Okwudiri Ogbodo, who responded on behalf of other committee members, pledged their loyalty and readiness to discharge their assignment dutifully.

London - Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has dismissed media reports of a row between himself and some of his senior players in the aftermath of Sunday's 2-0 English Premier League loss at Manchester City. British media reports claimed there had been a flare-up involving Benitez and a posse of players led by captain John Terry, but the Spaniard insisted there had been nothing untoward. Benitez, whose side visit Middlesbrough in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday, said: "This was a normal meeting between players and technical staff, which happens after every game. It was normal talk, nothing else. You show your disappointment, that is normal. "I can understand the frustrations of Terry. He is an important player for us and has been injured with his knee. Oscar Pistorius granted bail

Pretoria - Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail by the Pretoria Magistrate's Court following his arrest for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, last Thursday. Magistrate Desmond Nair granted Pistorius bail when the four-day bail hearing resumed on Friday afternoon. "The accused has made a case to be released on bail," he said. The court had heard submissions from both the State and the defence based on the initial findings of the investigation into the crime scene. The State argued that Pistorius had intended to kill, even if he thought he was shooting at a burglar, and should be denied bail, while the defence argued that Pistorius did not intend to kill Steenkamp, was not a flight risk, and should be granted bail.

The reality TV star is set to have her first child with rapper Kanye West in July, and will choose to find out whether it is a boy or a girl if it is revealed on a scan. She told E! news: "I don't know what we're having yet. I do want to find out, I do." The 32-year-old star would not say whether she prefers to have a boy or a girl, but added so far her growing bump has not interrupted her sleep patterns at all. I'm a really easy sleeper though, you can put me on the couch with all these people in the room and say, 'You've got 10 minutes,' and I'll take an eight-minute nap." Lady Gaga undergoes surgery

The Bad Romance hitmaker recently cancelled her Born This Way Ball tour and revealed she is using a wheelchair after contracting a painful injury and inflammation of her joints, known as synovitis, and has now gone under the knife to help her back to health. She tweeted on Wednesday: "Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you." Following the operation, she thanked her fans for giving her the strength to get through her ordeal and put her problems in perspective. 'You have changed my life' In an open letter to fans, she wrote: "Thank You Monsters, You really gave me a lot of strength today. Everything happened so fast, but when it came time to face it I reflected on the many stories and experiences you've shared with me about your lives. "Meeting you backstage, reading your letters, watching you communicate with fans from around the globe to form a community that supports one another--You have completely blown my mind. "As they wheeled me into surgery today, I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles - sometimes you are so brave that it terrifies me. Kim Kardashian: I don't want nannies

Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian is reportedly against Kanye West's plan to hire a team of nannies for their son or daughter. The rapper wants to employ an entourage to help when they become parents in July, but Kim has insisted they will provide all care for the baby themselves. A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Kanye worries she'll be juggling too much and thought a group of nannies would be what she wanted. "Kim is so driven by work and her image, she's already lining her diary up with personal appearances from August onwards, despite being due to give birth in July. "Her attitude seems to be that she'll give birth, lose the weight in double quick time, and then get back to work. And Kanye is fine with that, but he wants to make sure they have all the support they'll need when the time comes." Baby won't appear on TV Kanye, 35, is said to have got into further trouble when he brought up the fact Kim, 32, didn't find it easy coping when she had a pet kitten, Mercy - who sadly died at four months old after contracting a virus - last year. Academy Awards rebranded as 'The Oscars'

Los Angeles -They are the 85th Academy Awards, the climax of Hollywood's awards season, this coming weekend - except officially they're not. This year, they've been rebranded to "The Oscars". The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which organises Tinseltown's biggest awards, did not confirm the change revealed by show co-producer Neil Meron, who said "85th Academy Awards" was too "musty". But it seems it's true, for this year at least: references to Academy Awards and that it's the 85th show - a significant anniversary, one might have thought - quietly disappeared from official AMPAS materials a few weeks ago. Get-the-young-viewers ploy "We're rebranding it," Meron told entertainment news website TheWrap in an interview with co-producer Craig Zadan this week, days before Hollywood's finest take to the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday. "We're not calling it 'The 85th annual Academy Awards,' which keeps it mired somewhat in a musty way. It's called 'The Oscars'," he said, adding that he believed the new approach would continue in years to come. An AMPAS spokesperson declined to confirm the change, but said: "We use Academy Awards and the Oscars interchangeably. We'll begin considering next year's marketing campaign in the spring." Last year's Oscars poster was quite clearly emblazoned with "The 84th Academy Awards". This year's shows a picture of smiling host Seth MacFarlane under "The Oscars", in gold. The Oscars organizers are widely understood to be targeting a younger audience for their annual show - and Family Guy creator MacFarlane could be part of that strategy. Two years ago a clear get-the-young-viewers ploy, with actors James Franco and Anne Hathaway jointly fronting the show, was widely criticised, with Franco's wooden performance drawing particular scorn. It was not an easy experience for me. I actually died; I passed out for more than a week. My intestine and tummy were opened. “I am not Lazarus but my experience was similar to his own. My doctors said all hope was lost. A black doctor in London who is with us in this service was flown in when the situation became critical. It was God himself in His infinite mercy that said I would return to Nigeria. God woke me up after seven days. “I know that some people somehow leaked the information that I was dead. They are people that I trust and rely on; to them, I was dead and I would never return to the country alive. Some of them even sold my things off. I won’t say everything here. It is the Lord’s doing that I returned alive. When God says yes, nobody can say no. “People are always afraid of operation (surgery) but in my own case, while my travail lasted, I was begging for it (surgery) after the third operation because I was going to the theatre every day. It was God who saw me through. I did eight or nine operations within one month. It was not an easy one.” She said her experience taught her that there was nothing like a First Lady and that she realised that she was “a common woman and my name is simply Patience.” President Goodluck Jonathan who spoke at the reception after the thanksgiving service said that he lost a second cousin while he was still a deputy governor in Bayelsa State and that during the burial, a story was told how anybody in his community who is gradually going into limelight always die mysteriously. Following this, he said all eyes were focused on him, apparently insinuating that it was his time to die, Punch reports. “The story was that one of us (the President or his wife) will die. Today we are celebrating her. Her recovery has put an end to that belief. I am not too good in celebrating, but for this particular one, I think we have to thank God for keeping the life of my wife. “If anything had happened, there would have been different stories. Fake prophets would have given their stories. As mortals, we must fall sick and die but how and when is what matters most. To die when serving your people is not good. Death should come after you have finished serving.” The first lady was away between August and 14th October 2012. When she returned, she denied having a cosmetic surgery or tummy tuck as was widely speculated and since then, has been silent about her absence until yesterday.

Students sneak into Super Bowl while Beyonce was singing

New Orleans - Two Georgia college students who sneaked into the Super Bowl without tickets say Beyonce's half-time performance provided a distraction that helped them enter through a loading dock. They also hope a video they took of their experience might help the Superdome improve security, though neither the New Orleans stadium nor the National Football League has contacted them. "Everyone was watching Beyonce," said Joseph Roberts, 32, an English major at Savannah State University in Georgia and an aspiring screenwriter. He and fellow student Malachi Youngblood, 24, decided to travel to New Orleans to enjoy the February 3 Super Bowl festivities even though they lacked tickets to the game, which ranged in face value from $850 and $1,250 and were much more expensive on the secondary market. With small cameras strapped to their foreheads, they first filmed the crowds on Bourbon Street. With their cameras still rolling, the students said, they walked to the front of the Superdome and kept going through a maze of parking decks and tailgate areas before finally arriving at a loading dock during the halftime performance. Only once did a police officer ask for their credentials, the students said. They simply told the officer they had none, turned around, and walked in a different direction. They made their way through the loading dock into the Superdome and found themselves watching Beyonce's performance along with everyone else. "We were just astounded by the situation," Youngblood told Reuters in a telephone interview. They stayed for only a few minutes after halftime and left through the front doors of the Superdome. "We were nervous. We were scared," Roberts said. Although the students posted video of their walk into the Super Bowl, they say they later began to worry it would reflect poorly on their university and took it down. They believe, however, that the video could help the Superdome improve security. "If something needs to be addressed, we hope this video can spark the dialogue," said Roberts. "The only way we can help is through telling our story." Neither the National Football League nor the Superdome have contacted them, the students said. Superdome spokesman Eric Eagan referred all questions to the NFL. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy declined comment.

Bangkok - A kiss lasting nearly two-and-a-half days propelled one determined Thai couple to a new record for the world's longest smooch on Valentine's Day, organisers said on Friday. Hospital security guard Ekkachai Tiranarat, aged 44, and 33-year-old housewife Laksana locked lips for 58hrs, 35min and 58sec, smashing last year's Guinness World Record by more than eight hours. The romance of the clinch may have been marred by competition rules requiring contestants to remain on their feet throughout, slurp food and liquids through a straw and even go to the toilet while continuing to press their lips together. "They were very exhausted because they did not sleep for two-and-a-half days, they had to stand all the time so they were very weak," Sompron Naksuetrong, vice president of event organiser Ripley's Believe It or Not!, told AFP. The "kissathon" ended shortly before midnight on Valentine's Day, with the male couple who won last year unable to maintain their smooch, collapsing just two minutes before Ekkachai and Laksana. Marshall Waller - who had been representing the basketball player in his divorce from Kim Kardashian - has left Kris' legal team following an "irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship", according to gossip website TMZ. Kris still has an out-of-state lawyer - Lee Hutton - but needs another California lawyer for the divorce case. Kim and Kris split in November 2011 after just 72 days of marriage and it was previously revealed the reality TV star - who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West - is worried the drawn out divorce could have "long-term effects" on her baby. Stress levels The 32-year-old beauty was treated for severe abdominal pains recently, after her doctor rushed to her home in the middle of the night to examine her and warned her to reduce her stress levels. PHCN customers condemn non installation of meters

Lagos - Some electricity consumers  in Lagos have alleged that the PHCN had failed to supply pre-paid meters to them after two years of payment. The PHCN customers expressed their dismay in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday. Mrs Alice Danladi, a banker, said that PHCN had failed to fulfill its promise to install the meters within two weeks after payment of N25 000 for a meter. Danladi told NAN that she paid for a single-phase meter over a year ago, but had not received the meter since then. ``Customers who need pre-paid meters will have to wait for a long time. “The latest information is that management has stopped distributing the meters because they are not available,`` she said. Mr Simon Titus, a tax consultant, alleged that some business units of PHCN were hoarding the meters and this was deliberate so as to continue to place customers on estimated bills. ``I am yet to receive my meter since 2011 when I paid N25 000 for the meter. What we keep hearing is that the distribution is being done in batches, `` he said. Mr Bamidele Dauda, a computer engineer, alleged that some PHCN officials were being bribed by customers in the bid to get the meters. ``Many people have paid for these meters and are yet to receive them, `` Dauda told NAN. Mrs Oluwafunmi Adebisi, a consumer in Surulere, said she had been receiving high bills for a while now. ``I have witnessed inexplicable billings in the last six months which is not justifiable since there has not been regular supply of electricity. ``We used to receive  bills of between N2 000 and N2 500 before now, but the amount has been hovering between N7, 000 and N8, 000 monthly in the last six months,`` he said. Mr Ifeanyi Emeka, a lawyer, said that he was disappointed by the state of affairs. He said the delay in installing the meters to those who had paid the N25 000 amounted to a breach of contract. ``It does not speak well to have paid N25 000 for a single- phase meter and N55 000 for three-phase one and not get them installed for two years,`` the lawyer said. A PHCN official, who preferred anonymity, told NAN that the EKO and Ikeja Electricity Distribution Companies were facing the challenge of attending to backlog of customers that had paid for meters. ``There are few meters in stock due to the pronouncement by Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission to give meters free to every home. ``But now, the new policy is that the meters are not to be installed for free again. ``Hence, we have to attend to those customers who had applied for the meters a long time ago,” the officials said.

Police impounds truck-load of Indian hemp

Gusau -  The Police in Zamfara have intercepted 4,800 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa, popularly known as Indian hemp, at Hayin Alhaji Village in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state. Mr Lawal Abdullahi, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Friday. Abdullahi said that the police have also arrested six suspects, belonging to a notorious drug peddling syndicate, in connection with the impounded substances. He said the arrest followed a tip-off, which led to the interception of a Mitsubishi truck with registration number XA 857 TSF loaded with 16 bags of the dried leaves. Abdullahi said the suspects were aged between 20 years and 45 years. He said the Police were still investigating the suspects with a view to handing them over to narcotics officials for further investigation and prosecution. Meanwhile, the state police command has warned local miscreants popularly known as Sara-Suka to desist from the habit of terrorising innocent people. The Commissioner of Police, Mr Usman Gwary, warned that the police were prepared to stamp out such miscreants in all parts of the state and to ensure security of lives and property. Gwary said reports showed such miscreants had formed the habit of breaching the peace in parts of the state capital and the command had taken steps to check their excesses.

Lady Gaga cancels tour, needs surgery

The Bad Romance singer has been forced to cancel all 25 of the remaining US dates of the Born This Way Ball, after suffering a severe injury to her right hip that has been causing her chronic pain. A statement was posted on the 26-year-old star's official website on Wednesday, saying: "Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled. I'm in shock. Just got a call from her best friend and my close friend, Denrele Edun. He told me Goldie died a few minutes ago in his arms at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island. Goldie just came back from the US today he said, and was so full of life, then something went tragically wrong. Will get all the details from him in a bit, he was crying so much and had to switch off his phone. I'm shaking so bad. She and I had a conversation a few days ago while she was in the US. PASTOR CAUGHT WITH COCAINE IN TEXAS

Pastor Terry Gass was accused of pushing his girlfriend out of an SUV. Consequently, the bank has foreclose on the property where the church is located and take it all back. This might be a surprising move by a financial institution, but the domestic violence incident was just the beginning of Pastor Terry's troubles.... Police arrested Pastor Terry and took him into custody after the fight with his girlfriend. Surprisingly, when they brought him in for booking, officers found cocaine in his pocket. The drug was wrapped on the inside of a dollar bill, thereby compounding his troubles with the authorities. Back at church, Pastor Terry tried to hide the incident, claiming that he was going to take a temporary leave of absence. Two men who allegedly have been masquerading as seers and deliverance ministers to defraud unsuspecting members of the public have been arrested by men of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos. Sunday Omogbehin and Olawale Adeniyi, allegedly swindled one of their victims to the tune of ₦6 million, which they claimed would be used to conduct deliverance on him. It was learnt that the suspects held a prayer session with their victim, one Ojomo in Aguda area of Lagos, last year, in the course of which they attributed his inability to travel out of the country to some spiritual constraints. One of the victim’s problem was a smelly mouth; the suspects then demanded the sum of N6m which they claimed would be used to offer prayers that would cleanse his (victim) mouth odour. The money was supposed to be used to proffer solution to all his problems as they also reportedly assured the victim that after the deliverance session, the obstacle militating against his travelling outside the country would be broken. Ojomo, who wanted a Canadian visa at all cost, was an easy prey, and so he fell into the trap. But trouble started after he reportedly paid N6 million instalmentally without getting results. Police say the suspects were arrested following complaint by the victim, who claimed he was hypnotized. The case was charged to Igbosere Magistrate Court on a two-count charge of felony, obtaining money by false pretense and stealing. The suspects were subsequently remanded in prison custody over their inability to meet up with the bail condition of payment of N250,000 each and two sureties in like some.
